Simply Giving
Simply Giving is a community initiative founded by Christina Coscia, founder of Home Simplified, dedicated to giving back to the Charleston community through acts of service, organization, and care.
Since launching Home Simplified in 2023, Christina has made community support a core principle of her work. To date, she has contributed over $21,000 in services and donations, including a $9,500 Home Simplified gift certificate donated to a 2025 charity gala at Wild Dunes Resort. Christina did not attend the event, but the goal of the donation was simple: that the winning bidder’s contribution would help grant a child’s wish through the generosity of the auction.
Christina has also donated gift certificates to local Charleston schools for parent socials and fundraising events, helping support education and community initiatives throughout the area.
In addition to these contributions, Christina has personally donated over $6,000 in her time to assist a Mount Pleasant woman after witnessing the condition of her home. The project included helping the client relocate and fully organizing her space so she could begin again after a traumatic event.
Throughout her work, Christina has also stepped in to help with extreme hoarding situations, where portions of her time are often donated to families who may not otherwise be able to afford professional organizing support. One of her earliest projects after opening Home Simplified in 2023 involved an extreme hoarding case in Charleston where her time was partially donated to help a family in North Charleston.
As a small business owner based on Daniel Island and a trauma survivor herself, Christina’s mission is deeply personal. Her purpose is to help people feel safe, calm, and at peace in their homes by bringing organization, functionality, and thoughtful styling into spaces that may feel overwhelming.
That spirit of service led to the creation of Simply Giving.
The initiative is named for what it truly represents — simply giving. Through Simply Giving, volunteers donate their time and work together to organize and simplify homes for families in need, often in partnership with trusted nonprofits throughout Charleston. These volunteer organizing days bring together community members who want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life through practical support.
Simply Giving allows that mission to grow through collective generosity.

Simply Giving is made possible through the generosity of volunteers who donate their time to help organize and simplify homes for families in need throughout Charleston.
Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with home organization projects, sorting and organizing household items, helping prepare spaces for families transitioning into new homes, and supporting project days alongside professional organizers.
Whether you are a professional organizer, someone who enjoys creating order and calm in spaces, or simply want to give back to your community, we welcome individuals who share our mission of helping families feel at peace in their homes.
