Christina founded Home Simplified with the belief that every home can feel manageable, functional, and beautiful. With practical solutions to help you declutter your home and reduce stress, focusing on creating systems that last so families can spend less time managing clutter and more time enjoying what truly matters.
Christina lives on Daniel Island with her two young sons, where life is full of creativity, coastal beauty, and outdoor adventure. A former classically trained pastry chef from Le Cordon Bleu, she developed an early appreciation for artistry, detail, and the way thoughtful presentation can transform the everyday into something meaningful.
She grew up in a home where Sunday evenings were reserved for what was simply called Family Dinner, a tradition that began in 2002 and continues to this day. Each week, the gathering rotated between two families, changing homes but never changing its purpose. New faces were welcomed, old friends returned, and guests came and went through the years. The table was always open always set for one more.
It was there that Christina learned meals are better when shared, especially with interesting people, meaningful conversation, and different generations gathered together. That rhythm of hospitality shaped her love of entertaining and her belief that food is not simply nourishment, but connection.
Rooted in a childhood filled with art, music, and enduring traditions, Christina has always been drawn to creative expression. Today, she channels that spirit into both her home and her professional work.
She serves as Editor of Peninsula Magazine in Charleston, where she leads storytelling with a refined editorial eye and authors her signature column, Art of the Plate, an interview series highlighting chefs, their creative process, and the artistry behind the culinary world.
Beyond her professional life, Christina founded the Daniel Island Anglers, a fishing club for her sons and their friends, created to encourage children to unplug, explore nature, seek adventure in the ordinary, and build meaningful friendships outdoors.
Tradition remains central to Christina’s life. She is intentional about passing these values on to her sons: to seek knowledge, to find adventure in everyday moments, and to love fully. It is a principle she carries into her work, her table, and her home.
Whether through a beautifully organized space, a thoughtfully prepared meal, or a story shared in print, Christina believes in simplifying life in a way that makes space for what matters most.
